In IoT solutions for power plants, Toshiba does not only offer a solution from its perspective, but develops solutions to address issues in collaboration with our customers by combining their business and managerial know-how with Toshiba's accumulated know-how/data. Toshiba offers support for resolving issues throughout the plant lifecycle as a close partner for our customers.
Toshiba offers the following solutions for resolving issues throughout the plant lifecycle with our accumulated know-how as a partner for our customers.
- Solutions to optimize power generation plans
- Solutions to improve the value of power plants
- Solutions for daily inspection/maintenance
- Solutions for knowledge transfer
Increase the profitability of power plant businesses by centralizedly managing startup/shutdown plan of multiple power plants. Shutdown/maintenance plan of multiple power plants can be automatically developed/managed in parallel in consideration of external conditions including increased/decreased power demand, internal conditions including power plant's equipment/facility, and generating costs including fuel price and ship's arrival information, etc.
The system automatically informs the manager of the most cost-effective timing to renew equipment for early decision making. Using a plant model for simulation of facility investment in accordance with the operating status of actual equipment/facilities can evaluate the ability and environmental performance, providing useful information for comprehensive investment decisions. Linking to engineering data allows maintenance operations to be performed efficiently and continuously.
Detect and give information about a sign of failure to prevent a problem from occurring. The information about the failure can link to detailed data in drawings and progress information about repair work, which automates once-laborious processes such as problem identification and parts procurement. Additionally combining with power generation plan allows repair plan to be developed/implemented based on plant shutdown, which can minimize plant's shutdown time. This is a useful solution to link power plant's operation and maintenance to business.
The system automatically accumulates actual data about troubles and failures to develop training plans and contents at an individual's own level. Since solutions are recorded paired with the relevant troubles and problems, knowledge can be automatically put down into manuals. A combination of three learning methods based on actual case studies: classroom lecture including e-learning; training using a simulator; and OJT for actual work experience allows individual trainees to have a real experience at individual's own working and operating level.
