Transformer Protection IED GRT200

Product Overview

The GRT200 transformer protection IED has been designed to provide complete protection for two-winding or three-winding power transformers, auto-transformers and generator-transformers, within the flexible and user-friendly GR-200 Series platform. Up to five current inputs can be provided for the phase-segregated differential protection. The main transformer differential protection is supported by restricted earth fault, backup overcurrent, thermal overload, over-excitation and frequency protections.

  1. Current differential protection for two- or three-winding transformers incorporating stability against inrush, over-excitation and CT saturation

  3. Mixed 1A/5A inputs for phase and neutral currents

  4. CT ratio, vector and zero-sequence compensation

  5. Restricted earth fault protection incorporating enhanced stability against CT saturation

  6. Circuit breaker failure protection

  7. Non-directional overcurrent protection for phase faults

  8. Non-directional overcurrent protection for earth faults using neutral current

  9. Directional / non-directional overcurrent protection for earth faults using phase currents

  10. Negative phase sequence overcurrent protection

  11. Thermal overload protection

  12. Broken conductor protection

  13. Inrush current detector

  14. Overexcitation protection

  15. Under/over frequency and rate of change of frequency protection
